Having looked at the photo, I think an up-do would look good. However, if you want to wear it down, I'd recommend putting some waves in it (maybe braid it wet and let it dry) and maybe a pretty hair ornament holding it away from your face on one side.
I think your haor looks so pretty down. Maybe you can get a down style at the salon, maybe some big loose curls.
