My hair is pretty thick and naturally ';flippy'; at the ends. If I use a straightener I can also do a pretty straight style. I have the same I usually put my hair in two braids when I get out of the shower then leave it in all night after I wake up %26amp; theyre dry I take them out %26amp; it makes a nice wave.. as you can see in my picture...sometimes I put it in a really high ponytail and then put a clip in so it sticks up higher i like big hair. .
