don't base it on if you're plus sized or not base it on your face shape and the style that you like. if you have any of the small, round face shapes then make your hair longer to take weight off of the face and even out the shape. if your face shape is longer then go for a shorter cut. layering or keeping it one length just depends on your liking. my hair is so straight and flat i have to layer just to get body
